Salary: £86 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are pleased to be recruiting for a committed and engaging Early Years Practitioner to join a welcoming and child-centred setting in Rotherham. About the Role / Role Overview

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the care, learning and development of children aged 0–5. You will be instrumental in creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, child-led care and learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Support children’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive development through play and structured activities.
  • Observe, plan and assess children's progress, keeping accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a warm, engaging, and responsive early years environment.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety and safeguarding at all times.
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with parents and carers, offering feedback and developmental insights.

Job Requirements:

  • A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (e.g. CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent) is essential.
  • Sound knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework and its practical application.
  • Previous experience working in a nursery, pre-school, or early years classroom setting.
  • A nurturing and empathetic personality, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
