Midday Learning Support Assistant
Location: Chesterfield
Salary: £95 - £110 Per Day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Working Hours: 32.5 Hours per Week, 08:00 am to 15:00 pm (30-minute lunch break)
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are currently recruiting for a Midday Learning Support Assistant in Chesterfield, to work within a supportive SEN environment that caters for pupils with a wide range of behavioural and educational needs.
As a Midday Learning Support Assistant, You will play a crucial role in the smooth running of the school day, supporting pupils during lessons, transitions, and break times. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for learners with special educational needs.
Midday Learning Support Assistant Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, ODD, and SEMH
- Assist students in their learning and engagement throughout the school day
- Supervise and encourage positive behaviour during midday breaks
- Work one-to-one and in small group settings as needed
- Support class teachers with lesson resources and classroom routines
- Promote the development of independence and social interaction skills
Requirements for Midday Learning Support Assistant:
- Experience working in an SEN or school as a Midday Learning Support Assistant setting is essential
- Must be a driver with business insurance, this role is based on Mileage pay
- Comfortable working with pupils with varying levels of need and behaviour
- CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent qualification in Teaching Support or Childcare (desirable)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, flexible, and empathetic approach to support
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one
