Teaching Assistant

Location: Hilsea

Salary Scale:  £13.68 to £14.88 per hour
Start Date: ASAP

GSL Education are seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant for immediate placement at a school in Hilsea . We’re looking for dynamic individuals to help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Your role will involve working with students of all abilities, offering tailored support to help them achieve their best.

Key Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:

  • Support teachers in the planning and delivery of dynamic and engaging lessons.
  • Offer individualised assistance to students, aiding them in understanding complex concepts and achieving academic excellence.
  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting student participation and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create innovative teaching strategies and resources.
  • Contribute to the holistic development of students by nurturing their social and emotional well-being.
  • Gain valuable hands-on experience in a lively educational setting, ideal for those aspiring to become teachers.


Requirements for Teaching Assistant role:

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
  • Be available for work Monday to Friday.
  • Be proactive, energetic, kind and caring towards students.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to go through the process with us).
  • A fully checkable work history.
  • Flexibility to adapt to various teaching styles and environments.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
