About the Role:
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be a vital part of the Early Years team, providing high-quality care and education to children aged 3–5. You will play a key role in supporting their emotional, social, and educational development through engaging activities, routine structure, and warm, child-centred support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum through planned and play-based learning.
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive.
- Observe and assess children’s development, maintaining accurate records and contributing to progress reports.
- Encourage independence and positive behaviour through consistent and supportive interaction.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure each child’s needs are met.
- Ensure safeguarding and wellbeing standards are upheld at all times.
Job Requirements:
- A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years Education (essential).
- Previous experience working with children in an Early Years or school-based setting.
- Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development principles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting young learners.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
