Job Title: Nursery Practitioner

This full-time role is available for an immediate or September start and provides a meaningful chance to support children's development during their vital early years.
About the Role:
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will work within a foundation stage setting, helping to create a warm and stimulating environment where young children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to learn. You will play a key role in supporting their early development, preparing them for their educational journey ahead.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and delivering engaging activities aligned with the EYFS curriculum.
- Support children’s physical, emotional, and social development through play-based learning.
- Monitor and record children’s progress, contributing to individual learning plans.
- Promote a nurturing and inclusive environment that fosters independence and curiosity.
- Maintain positive relationships with parents and carers, sharing insights into daily progress.
- Ensure the classroom remains a safe and stimulating place for all children.
Job Requirements: To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Experience working with children in an early years or nursery setting (school-based, private nursery, or childcare experience is highly desirable).
- A recognised early years qualification, such as Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare, Early Years Education, or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
- An understanding of the EYFS framework, child development principles, and early learning strategies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A patient, caring, and creative approach, ensuring that every child receives the support they need to thrive.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
