About the Role:

Position: Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)

Start Date: Immediate start (flexible to accommodate a September start for the right candidate)

Location: Primary School in Weymouth

Contract: Fixed term until August 2026

Working Hours: Full-time (term time only)

Focus: 1:1 support for a pupil with Autism (SEN)
You will play a vital role in supporting a primary-aged pupil with Autism, helping them access learning, build confidence, and thrive in the school environment. You’ll be supported by a friendly staff team and a SEND coordinator who values inclusion and child-centred approaches.
What We’re Looking For:

Experience working with children in any capacity (nursery, childminding, youth work, sports coaching, dance teaching, etc.)

A genuine passion for supporting children’s development and well-being
-
SEN experience is desirable but not essential – training and support will be provided

A calm, patient, and empathetic approach

Reliability and strong communication skills
