Salary: £12.82 per hour

About the Role:
As an Early Years Practitioner (EYP), you will be working in the foundation stage of a mainstream primary setting. You’ll play a key role in supporting the class teacher, fostering a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment where children can explore, learn, and grow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- Support children’s development through structured play and planned activities.
- Observe and assess pupils’ progress, contributing to developmental reports.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being in the classroom.
- Work closely with parents, carers, and professionals to support individual needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
Job Requirements:
- A relevant qualification in Early Years Education (such as a Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education, NVQ in Early Years, or equivalent).
- Previous experience working as an Early Years Practitioner is essential, with a solid understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A caring and patient attitude, with a passion for early learning.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
