  • Implement strategies that promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
  • Adapt learning materials and activities to meet individual needs.
  • Act as a positive role model and mentor to build self-esteem and resilience.
  • Maintain a calm and structured classroom environment.
  • Liaise with teaching staff, external agencies, and families to ensure holistic support.

  • A calm, non-judgmental, and patient approach with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive attitude in varied classroom settings.
  • A relevant qualification in education, psychology, counselling, or youth work (desirable but not essential).
  • Understanding of various Special Education Needs conditions, including autism and ADHD, etc.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
