Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Rotherham
Salary: £86 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently recruiting for a Primary Teaching Assistant to work in a welcoming and inclusive primary school based in Rotherham, starting this September. About the Role:
The successful candidate will work alongside class teachers to provide support across the curriculum, help maintain a positive classroom environment, and assist pupils in accessing learning. You will be an integral part of the classroom team, playing a crucial role in delivering high-quality support to children at varying stages of their educational journey.
Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting pupils with day-to-day classroom activities, both individually and in small groups.
- Assisting the teacher in implementing structured learning activities and intervention strategies.
- Encouraging and promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
- Monitoring and recording pupils' progress and reporting any concerns.
- Helping to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
- Supporting pupils with additional needs or barriers to learning.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience working in a primary school or educational setting.
- A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2/3 desirable).
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
