Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Rotherham
Salary: £86 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and welcoming primary school in Rotherham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is committed to helping children thrive both academically and emotionally.
About the Role:
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to provide individual and group support to pupils across Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2. The role may include assisting with learning activities, helping manage classroom behaviour, and offering support to children with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils who require additional help.
- Assist in creating a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
- Help manage pupil behaviour in line with school policies.
- Support the development of pupils’ social and emotional skills.
- Contribute to record keeping and observations for pupil progress.
Job Requirements:
- A strong interest in working with children in a primary school environment.
- Experience working with primary-aged children, either in a school or childcare setting.
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management strategies.
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
