Job description
SEN Teaching Assistant – Tonbridge, Kent
Daily Rate: £88.94 | Full-Time | Term-Time Only
Have you worked in a nursery, helping little ones grow, comforting them when things feel big, and celebrating those small, proud moments? If you’re ready to take that experience into a school setting—supporting children with special needs—this could be the perfect next step in your journey.
GSL Education is looking for a kind and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to join a caring school in Tonbridge, where every child is supported to feel safe, valued, and capable of achieving great things.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll be working with children who may need extra help with learning, communication, or managing their emotions. Some children might have autism, ADHD, or other learning needs—and you’ll be there to help them feel understood, calm, and ready to learn.
Your early years experience will come in handy: using play, patience, and simple routines to build trust and keep children engaged. Some days might be filled with sensory play, others with quiet support. Every day, you’ll be a steady presence and a kind face.
What we’re looking for:
-
Experience working in a nursery, preschool, or Early Years setting.
-
A warm, patient approach and a genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs.
-
A valid UK driving licence and access to your own transport.
-
A current enhanced DBS on the update service—or willingness to apply for one.
What we offer:
-
£88.94 per day
-
A dedicated consultant to support you throughout your placement.
-
Opportunities for training and long-term development in special needs education.
-
A role where your care, creativity and experience really make a difference.
This role isn’t just about helping children—it’s also about giving you space to grow and be part of something meaningful.
If you're ready to take your nursery experience into the classroom and support children who need a little extra care, we’d love to hear from you.
