Salary: £100 to £125 per day (Depending on experience)

About the Role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You’ll work closely with class teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons, lead small group interventions, and occasionally cover whole classes. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to students’ academic progress and personal development.
Key Responsibilities of Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
- Support teachers in planning and delivering lessons across a range of subjects.
- Lead small group and whole-class sessions, ensuring high levels of engagement and learning.
- Provide targeted support to students to help them achieve their learning goals.
- Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Contribute to the wider school community through participation in events and activities.
Requirements for Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
- HLTA status or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
- Proven experience working in a classroom setting, ideally in a HLTA or senior TA role.
- Strong understanding of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning across different year groups.
To work with GSL Education as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will need:
- The right to work in the UK.
- An up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
