Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Hull
Pay: £90 to £115 per day (Depending on experience)
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Start Date: September 2025

Your Mission: Support, Inspire, Empower
As a SEND Teaching Assistant (SEND TA), you will play a key role in helping students overcome challenges and reach their full potential. You’ll work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and families to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEND
- Assist in adapting learning materials and activities to meet individual needs
- Collaborate with teaching staff and parents to ensure consistent support
- Promote independence and confidence in students’ learning and development
- Monitor and report on student progress and well-being
- Help create a classroom environment where all students feel safe, valued, and included
- Maintain clear and effective communication with staff, students, and families
- Support students’ emotional and behavioural needs with empathy and patience
What You Bring
- Experience working with children with SEND in an educational setting
- A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse student needs
- Additional training in areas such as autism, speech and language, or behaviour management is desirable but not essential
