GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a welcoming school in Hull. English Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Deliver lessons in English Language and Literature within a school environment.
  • Develop lesson plans and deliver creative and purposeful instruction.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assess student progress and provide clear feedback and intervention where needed.
  • Support students in developing reading comprehension, grammar, and writing techniques.
  • Contribute to the wider school community and enrichment activities.

English Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised qualification.
  • A degree in English or a related field.
  • Experience teaching English at the school level.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A passion for language and literature and a desire to share it.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
