Teacher of Maths
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Salary: MPS/UPS; £31,650 - £49,084 per annum
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Part Time, Permanent, 0.3-0.5 FTE
GSL Education are seeking a qualified Maths Teacher to work at an Ofsted Rated “Outstanding” Secondary School in York, North Yorkshire, starting in September 2025.
Teacher of Maths Responsibilities:
- Deliver Maths lessons to students based on their individual needs and the curriculum requirements.
- Encourage active student participation, fostering critical thinking, and promoting problem-solving skills.
- Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
- Support students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.
- Participate in school life and uphold the values of respect, responsibility, and resilience.
Teacher of Maths Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong academic background in Mathematics or a related subject.
- Have recent experience teaching Maths to an education setting.
- Be able to provide 2 professional references, relating to your teaching within the last 2 years (placements will be accepted for ECTs).
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
- You must have an enhanced Child Only DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
