SEN Teacher
Location: Poole
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 (MPS/UPS) per annum (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: September 2025 / Immediate
Contract Type: Permanent / Full-time

GSL Education are currently looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed SEN Teacher for a full-time, permanent position based in Poole.

About the Role:

As an SEN Teacher, you will deliver engaging and personalised lessons that cater to pupils with a wide range of special educational needs, including Autism, SEMH, and communication difficulties. The role involves working in a supportive setting where student progress and well-being are central to the school's values.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons based on students’ individual needs
  • Support pupils in their educational, social, and emotional development
  • Adapt teaching strategies to suit diverse learning profiles
  • Monitor and report on student progress in line with EHCPs
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, parents, and multi-agency teams
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Manage behaviour effectively using positive reinforcement strategies

Job Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised qualification
  • Experience teaching in an SEN or inclusive education setting preferred
  • A degree in Psychology, SEN or a similar field.
  • Strong understanding of SEN codes of practice and EHCP implementation
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills

  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
  • Possess an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
