SEN Teacher
Location: Blandford
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 (MPS/UPS) per annum (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: September 2025 / Immediate
Contract Type: Permanent / Full-time
Are you passionate about inclusive education and helping children overcome barriers to learning? Do you have experience in teaching pupils with special educational needs?
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and empathetic SEN Teacher for a full-time, permanent position located in Blandford.
As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering well-planned, engaging, and differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of students with a range of SEND including Autism, SEMH, and Speech and Language difficulties. You’ll join a professional and nurturing environment supported by experienced teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external agencies.
SEN Teacher Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching tailored to the individual needs of pupils with SEN
- Support students’ academic, emotional, and social development
- Implement EHCPs and work towards targeted outcomes
- Manage classroom behaviour in a positive and inclusive manner
- Create a stimulating and safe classroom environment
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and liaise with parents/carers
- Work collaboratively with the wider staff team to share best practices
SEN Teacher Qualification:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Prior experience working in a special educational needs setting as a SEN Teacher is desirable
- Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills
- Commitment to inclusive education and personalised learning
