SEN Teacher
Location: Bournemouth
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 (MPS/UPS) per annum (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: September 2025 / Immediate
Contract Type: Permanent / Full-time

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled SEN Teacher for a full-time, permanent position in Bournemouth. This role is ideal for a compassionate professional committed to delivering high-quality teaching to children with diverse and complex learning needs.
About the Role:
As an SEN Teacher, you will deliver tailored and engaging lessons to meet the individual needs of pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges. You will work closely with a supportive team of teaching assistants and therapists to provide a rich and inclusive learning experience.
Responsibilities of SEN Teacher:
- Plan, deliver, and adapt lessons to suit individual student needs and EHCP targets
- Foster a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals
- Monitor and assess progress, maintaining accurate records and reports
- Build positive relationships with students and promote personal development
- Develop and implement behaviour support strategies where necessary
- Maintain high expectations for pupil achievement and independence
SEN Teacher Job Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Proven experience teaching students with special educational needs as a SEN Teacher
- Excellent classroom management and differentiation skills
- Knowledge of SEN best practices and current educational frameworks
- Strong communication and organisational abilities

- Possess an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
