Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 (MPS/UPS) per annum (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled SEN Teacher for a full-time, permanent position in Bournemouth. This role is ideal for a compassionate professional committed to delivering high-quality teaching to children with diverse and complex learning needs.

About the Role:

As an SEN Teacher, you will deliver tailored and engaging lessons to meet the individual needs of pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges. You will work closely with a supportive team of teaching assistants and therapists to provide a rich and inclusive learning experience.

Responsibilities of SEN Teacher:

  • Plan, deliver, and adapt lessons to suit individual student needs and EHCP targets
  • Foster a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals
  • Monitor and assess progress, maintaining accurate records and reports
  • Build positive relationships with students and promote personal development
  • Develop and implement behaviour support strategies where necessary
  • Maintain high expectations for pupil achievement and independence

SEN Teacher Job Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Proven experience teaching students with special educational needs as a SEN Teacher
  • Excellent classroom management and differentiation skills
  • Knowledge of SEN best practices and current educational frameworks
  • Strong communication and organisational abilities
