GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a supportive primary school in Portsmouth. This role is more than just a job – it’s a chance to be part of a child’s journey, offering them the guidance and encouragement they need to grow in confidence and succeed. Prior experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential – a positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important. Full training and ongoing support will be provided by the school and GSL Education.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assist in Delivering Lessons: Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across different subjects.
- Provide One-to-One or Small Group Support: Help students who need extra support to understand and access the curriculum.
- Foster a Positive Learning Environment: Create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all students.
- Support Student Development: Assist in the academic, social, and emotional development of students, including those with additional learning needs.
- Help with Classroom Management: Support the teacher in maintaining an orderly and productive classroom.
Criteria for Applicants:
- Experience as a Learning Support Assistant is preferred, but not essential.
- Passion for helping students achieve their best and build confidence in their abilities.
- Ability to adapt and support a variety of learning needs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps explained.
- Enhanced DBS registered on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
