Job Title: Maths Teacher for Secondary
Location: Fareham, Hampshire
Salary:
 £30,000 - £46,535 per annum (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Fareham. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified teachers, Early Career Teachers (ECTs), or overseas-trained educators to make a lasting impact on young learners in a supportive and well-resourced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum for Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Utilising a mastery-focused approach to help students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies and share best practices.
  • Participating in extracurricular activities to enrich the students' educational experience.

Job Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), ECT status, or a recognised overseas teaching qualification.
  • Specialism in Mathematics with a strong understanding of the national curriculum.
  • Experienced TA/CS are also encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent classroom management and behaviour strategies.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and planning skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and supporting all learners to achieve.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development.
  • Previous school-based experience as a Maths Teaching Assistant will be considered favourably.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
