Head of IT and Business
Location: Selby, North Yorkshire
Salary: MPS/UPS; £31,650 - £49,084 per annum
Start Date: Immediate
Are you an innovative and experienced teacher of IT and Business with the drive to lead a high-performing department?
GSL Education are seeking a Head of IT and Business to join the dedicated leadership team of an Ofsted rated “Outstanding” Secondary School in Selby, North Yorkshire.
Head of IT and Business Responsibilities:
- Leading a small, committed team of subject specialists.
- Designing and delivering an engaging and up-to-date curriculum in IT and Business.
- Monitoring student performance and using data to inform teaching and interventions.
- Promoting high standards of teaching, learning, and achievement.
- Driving forward the vision of digital literacy and enterprise education across the school.
- Supporting whole-school digital strategies and careers education related to Business and IT.
Head of IT and Business Requirements:
- Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong background in teaching IT and/or Business Studies up to GCSE level (A-Level desirable but not essential).
- Proven leadership or middle-management experience.
- Up-to-date knowledge of current curriculum developments and educational technologies.
- Excellent organisational, communication and team leadership skills.
- Have an enhanced child workforce DBS certificate on the Update Service or are willing to process one through GSL Education.
