Position: English Teacher (SEN)
Location: Chesterfield
Salary: £200 - £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and adaptable English Teacher to join our team in Chesterfield this September. If you’re committed to inclusive education and have a love for literature and language, we’d love to hear from you.

Role Overview:
As an English Teacher with SEN experience, you will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to meet the needs of students aged 11–18. You’ll work collaboratively with a supportive team to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons adapted for students with SEN
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing tailored feedback and support
  • Collaborate with SENCOs, support staff, and families to ensure student success
  • Promote a love for reading, writing, and language through creative teaching
  • Participate in school events and extracurricular activities

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Proven experience teaching English, ideally within an SEN setting
  • Must hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • Ability to provide a ten-year career history with references covering the last two years
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for inclusive education and student development
