Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

Salary: £13.68 - £16.12 per hour (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are welcoming applications for a dedicated and empathetic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work in a specialist setting in Bournemouth. This is a full-time, permanent position with an immediate start, offering a fulfilling opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of children with a variety of learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils with diverse educational needs.
- Assist with the implementation of individual learning programmes.
- Encourage pupil participation and engagement across all classroom activities.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive social interactions.
- Contribute to record-keeping and feedback for pupil progress.
- Support pupils with personal care or mobility needs where required.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all learners.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience working in an education, SEN, or care setting is desirable.
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting learners.
- Ability to build strong, respectful relationships with students and staff.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection protocols.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are beneficial but not essential.

- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
- Have an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one through GSL Education.
