Teacher of Science
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full Time, Fixed Term (Maternity Cover)
Salary: MPS/UPS; £31,650 - £49,084 per annum

Teacher of Science Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience is desirable but not essential).
- Work within a supportive department.
- Use a range of teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners.
- Participate fully in the life of the school, including pastoral duties and enrichment activities.
- Uphold the Catholic ethos and values of the school community
Teacher of Science Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a Science-related subject.
- Experience teaching Science at secondary level.
- Have the capability to foster curiosity and interest for the subject.
- Strong command of the curriculum and good behaviour management skills.
- Be committed to child protection, safeguarding, and pupil welfare.
- Hold a Child Only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
