Salary: £13.68 to £16.12 per hour (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are looking for a caring and motivated Mental Health Teaching Assistant (TA) to support students in a wonderful school in Havant. This is your chance to make a real difference by helping children manage their emotions, stay focused, and feel confident in school.
Your Role as Mental Health Teaching Assistant Will Include:
- Supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs during lessons and breaks
- Helping children manage their behaviour, feelings, and friendships in positive ways
- Working closely with teachers and other staff to make sure students feel safe and supported.
- Encouraging a calm and welcoming classroom environment
- Keeping track of how students are doing and sharing updates with the team
- Being a trusted adult that students can talk to and rely on
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- A strong interest in supporting children with mental health or emotional needs.
- Experience working with young people (in school, youth work, care, or similar).
- A calm, patient, and understanding nature.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A CV covering the past 10 years (with any gaps clearly explained).
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
