Pastoral Leader
Salary: MPS/UPS; £31,650 - £49,084 per annum
Location: Snaith, East Riding of Yorkshire
Starting Date: ASAP

GSL Education are looking for dedicated Pastoral Leader to join a Secondary School Snaith, East Riding of Yorkshire, starting as soon as possible. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in shaping the school culture, supporting students to overcome barriers to learning, and ensuring all pupils are able to thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.
Pastoral Leader Responsibilities:
- Lead on pastoral care, supporting the emotional, behavioural and social development of students.
- Work closely with Heads of Year, SLT, SEND, and Safeguarding teams.
- Manage student attendance and punctuality, and liaise with families to address concerns.
- Respond to incidents and manage follow-up interventions.
- Build positive relationships with students.
- Lead or contribute to student welfare meetings.
Pastoral Leader Requirements:
- Experience working in a secondary school, alternative provision, or youth setting.
- Strong understanding of pastoral care and the challenges faced by young people.
- Confident in managing behaviour and de-escalating situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, mental health, and SEND is highly desirable.
- A relevant qualification in education, youth work, or a related field is beneficial but not essential.
- Possess a Child Only DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
