Leader of Targeted Mainstream Provision (TMP)
Location: Tadcaster, North Yorkshire
Salary Scale: MPS/UPS; £31,650 - £49,084 per annum
Start Date: September 2025
Are you a passionate and experienced SEN practitioner ready to lead and shape inclusive education for young people with additional needs?
We are seeking a dynamic Leader of Targeted Mainstream Provision (TMP) to join an inclusive coeducational secondary school in Tadcaster, North Yorkshire. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference by providing specialist support and leadership within our TMP base, ensuring pupils with SEND access quality education in a nurturing and structured environment.
Leader of TMP Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership of the Targeted Mainstream Provision.
- Develop and deliver a broad, balanced, and inclusive curriculum.
- Lead, manage, and support a team of teaching assistants and support staff.
- Regularly assess and monitor the progress of students in targeted areas, adjusting tutoring strategies as needed.
- Monitor pupil progress, wellbeing and engagement.
- Promote independence, confidence, and resilience in students with SEND.
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and structured learning environment.
Leader of TMP Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience working with pupils with SEND, preferably within a secondary school setting.
- Proven track record of delivering successful interventions for students with additional learning and behavioural needs.
- In-depth knowledge of SEND Code of Practice.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Have an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the update service (or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
