Salary: £13.68 - £16.12 per hour (depending on experience)

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant (TA) in Ringwood, you will be instrumental in creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Your role will involve working closely with individual students to help them overcome challenges and thrive academically and emotionally. You’ll collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure each student receives the personalised guidance they need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Strategies: Assist in designing and applying support plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Provide Direct Support: Deliver one-on-one assistance, helping students manage behaviour and emotions effectively.
- Monitor and Record Progress: Track student development, celebrate milestones, and adapt strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with Colleagues: Engage in team discussions and planning to enhance student support.
- Promote Inclusivity: Encourage a classroom culture where every student feels respected and included.
- Engage and Motivate Students: Use creative approaches to make learning enjoyable and meaningful.
- Maintain Communication: Keep accurate records and maintain open communication with staff, parents, and carers.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Relevant Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
- Effective Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Relationship Building: Ability to foster trust and rapport with students and staff.
- Patience and Empathy: A caring and understanding approach to student support.
Requirements:
- The right to work in the UK.
- An up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- An enhanced DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply for one.
