As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with experienced educators, supporting students academically and emotionally, and making a meaningful impact every day.
Job Description:
- Location: Southampton
- Salary: £82.10 to £104.16 per day
- Job Type: part/full time
- Start Date: September 2025
Key Responsibilities of a Graduate Teaching Assistant:
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging, high-quality lessons across a range of subjects.
- Provide targeted support to individual students and small groups, helping them grasp key concepts.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
- Support classroom management and ensure a safe, respectful learning space.
- Take part in planning sessions and staff meetings to contribute to whole-school development.
- Gain invaluable experience for a future PGCE or teacher training application.
Requirements for the Graduate Teaching Assistant role:
- Graduates with a desire to explore a career in education
- Experience of working as a Teaching Assistant is preferred
- Core subject degrees such as Maths, English, Science, History, Geography, or PE (for aspiring teachers)
