Chemistry Teacher / Head of Chemistry
Location: Canterbury
Salary: £120 – £280 per day (Depending on Experience and Role)
Start Date: September 2025 (or sooner for the right candidate)
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-Term Cover to January 2026 or Permanent for the Right Candidate

The Chemistry Teacher / Head of Chemistry role is available either on a cover basis until January 2026 or as a permanent post for the right candidate.

As a Chemistry Teacher / Head of Chemistry, your responsibilities will include:
• Planning and delivering engaging and rigorous lessons across KS3 to KS5 Chemistry.
• Leading and supporting the Chemistry department (for Head of Chemistry applicants), ensuring consistently high standards of teaching and learning.
• Preparing students for internal and external examinations, including A-Level.
• Contributing to curriculum development, enrichment opportunities, and departmental planning.
• Participating fully in the wider life of the school, including staff meetings, training, and extracurricular activities.
To be considered for the Chemistry Teacher / Head of Chemistry role, you must:
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised qualifications.
• Have a strong academic background in Chemistry or a related subject.
• Demonstrate experience teaching Chemistry at secondary level, ideally including A-Level.
• Have leadership experience or the capability to lead a department (for Head of Chemistry applicants).
• Be committed to maintaining high academic standards and promoting student engagement.
