Job Title: Maths Teacher
Location: Southsea, Hampshire
Salary: £30,000 - £46,535 per annum (Depending on experience).
Start time: Immediate or September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time

GSL Education are working in collaboration with an inclusive school in Southsea to appoint a dedicated and inspiring Maths Teacher on a full-time basis, with flexible start options for either immediate or September 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver dynamic and structured Maths lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Develop resources and lesson plans that promote mathematical fluency and problem-solving skills.
  • Support student achievement through effective assessment, feedback, and intervention.
  • Promote high expectations of behaviour, effort, and progress in the classroom.
  • Collaborate with the Maths department and wider school staff to support a consistent approach to teaching and learning.
  • Engage with pastoral responsibilities, extracurricular activities, or targeted intervention sessions where needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), be an Early Career Teacher (ECT), or possess relevant overseas teaching qualifications.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics, with confidence in delivering to GCSE level (A-Level is a bonus).
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A passion for making mathematics enjoyable and relatable to students.
  • Open to applications from experienced TAs or Cover Supervisors with a strong Maths background and a desire to train in teaching.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
