Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

Salary: £12.82 per hour

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work full-time in a welcoming and inclusive school in Gosport, Hampshire. This role is available for an immediate start or in September 2025, making it a great opportunity to gain experience in preparation for a long-term career in education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in accessing the curriculum and achieving their full potential.
- Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom activities.
- Provide individualised support to students with additional needs.
- Encourage positive behaviour and social interaction within the classroom.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers and support staff.
- Help maintain an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
Job Requirements:
- A genuine interest in supporting young people in education.
- Previous experience in a school or youth work setting is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive, proactive, and patient attitude towards supporting diverse needs.
- A degree or university study in Education, Psychology, or a related field is advantageous.
- University students studying education, psychology, or related fields are encouraged to apply, as this role offers valuable classroom experience.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
