Location: Hull
Salary: M1 to UPS3 per annum (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-Day/Long Term, Full-time/Part-time

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated History Teacher to join a vibrant and inclusive secondary school based in Hull.

The Role:
As a Teacher of History, you will play a vital role in delivering lessons across Key Stages, helping students understand historical events, concepts, and their relevance in today’s world. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher to deliver engaging history lessons that inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for the subject.
Responsibilities of a Teacher of History:
- Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Teach across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 curriculum
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular activities
- Collaborate with department colleagues to develop schemes of work and resources
- Uphold the school’s behaviour policy and promote high expectations
History Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in History or a related field
- Experience teaching History in a UK secondary school setting
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for the subject
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
