Job description

Are you a qualified and passionate teacher (QTS) looking for a rewarding role this September?

GSL Education invites you to join a dedicated and welcoming Special School in Southampton, where they support and educate secondary-aged students with a wide range of learning needs. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a school that truly values the difference you can make in a young person’s life.

Working with us means enjoying the benefits of small class sizes, typically no more than 12 students, following a Primary Model approach. This allows for more focused teaching and stronger relationships with each pupil. You will be responsible for planning and delivering a broad, engaging curriculum across a variety of subjects, helping each student reach their full potential.

We pride ourselves on the positive, inclusive, and well-supported environment we provide for both staff and students. Our thorough induction programme and ongoing professional support mean you’ll never feel like you’re doing it alone. Whether you are an experienced Primary School Teacher or have a background in teaching multiple subjects, this role could be the perfect fit if you’re enthusiastic about Special Educational Needs (SEN).

We’re looking for someone who is nurturing, adaptable, and ready to inspire students who may be working at a primary-level ability, despite being of secondary age. If you have the dedication to create engaging learning experiences and the drive to help children grow academically, socially, and emotionally, we’d love to welcome you to our team. Come and be a part of a school where your work truly matters.

Requirements for SEN Teacher Role:

  • Qualified and experienced as a Primary School Teacher or in teaching a broad range of subjects

  • Committed to delivering the Primary Curriculum to secondary-aged students
