Primary Teaching Assistant
Location: Grimsby
Salary: £88.94 – £104.84 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day/Long Term, Full-time/Part-time

GSL Education are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Grimsby. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to make a positive impact in the classroom and contribute to the personal and academic growth of primary-aged children.
This Primary TA role will see you working closely with teaching staff to support pupils in their day-to-day learning, either in small groups or on a one-to-one basis. It is well-suited for those who are patient, proactive, and committed to helping children overcome learning barriers and reach their full potential.
Primary TA Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
- Provide targeted assistance to pupils, both in groups and individually
- Help maintain a safe, positive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Assist with the preparation and organisation of learning resources
- Promote good behaviour and help manage classroom routines
- Support pupils with additional needs, ensuring inclusivity in learning
- Observe and report pupil progress to teaching staff
Requirements for Primary Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience working with primary-aged children as a Primary Teaching Assistant or similaris desirable
- CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ, or relevant childcare or Teaching Assistant qualification preferred
- A degree in Education, Psychology or in a similar field.
- A genuine interest in education and supporting children’s development
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
