Job Title: Graduate SEND TA
Location: Lincoln
Salary: £88.94 – £104.84 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: After May Half Term 2025
Contract Type: Full-time
GSL Education are delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Lincoln. About the Role:
As a Graduate SEND TA, you will support students with a range of additional needs in and out of the classroom. You will help them with their learning, provide emotional and behavioural support, and work closely with teaching staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting students with SEND during lessons, helping them stay engaged and achieve their learning goals.
- Assisting students with SEMH needs by encouraging positive behaviour and offering consistent, compassionate support.
- Building strong, trusting relationships with students to help them feel secure and motivated.
- Helping to implement individual education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s specific needs.
- Supporting personal, social, and emotional development, promoting independence and self-confidence.
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
- Monitoring progress and sharing feedback with staff and families as needed.
Job Requirements:
- A degree (preferably in Education, Psychology, or a related field).
- A positive, caring, and patient attitude with a passion for helping children.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Recent graduates who are considering a future in SEND education are strongly encouraged to apply.
- An updated CV covering the last 10 years (with no unexplained gaps).
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a new one.
