Job Title: Special Educational Needs & Disability Teaching Assistant
Location: Lincoln
Salary: £88.94 to £104.84 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: After May Half Term 2025
Contract Type: Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs & Disability (SEND) TA to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Lincoln. This is an exciting opportunity to support students with SEND, helping them grow academically, socially, and emotionally in a supportive environment. What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
  • Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons tailored to individual learning styles.
  • Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued.
  • Helping students develop confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.
  • Supporting students’ academic progress and personal development across the school day.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to meet each student’s unique needs.

Criteria for Applicants:

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally with SEND or SEMH needs is desirable.
  • A genuine interest in supporting students with additional learning needs.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • A patient, flexible, and caring approach to working with children.
  • An up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years (with no unexplained gaps).
  • An enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
