Salary: £88.94 - £104.84 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: After May Half Term 2025

GSL Education are pleased to present a rewarding opportunity for a Support Worker to join a caring and inclusive school environment in Lincoln. Starting after May half term 2025, this full-time role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping students overcome barriers to learning and supporting their emotional and academic development.
About the Role:
As a Support Worker, you will assist pupils with a range of special educational needs and/or social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. Working alongside teachers and other support staff, you will provide one-to-one and small group support to help students stay engaged, feel safe, and thrive in school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide both classroom-based and out-of-class support to students with varying learning and emotional needs.
- Support students with developing confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.
- Assist in the implementation of tailored learning and behaviour plans.
- Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils to help them succeed academically and socially.
- Work in partnership with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to create a positive learning experience.
- Help monitor student progress and contribute to their individual support strategies.
- Promote and maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment in line with safeguarding policies.
Job Requirements:
- Experience supporting children or young people, ideally in an educational or SEN setting.
- A calm, understanding, and adaptable approach to individual student needs.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
- The ability to remain calm and professional when facing challenging behaviours.
- A qualification in education, health and social care, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
- An up-to-date CV (covering the last 10 years with no unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
