Job Title: Graduate of Psychology
Location: Scunthorpe
Salary: £88.94 - £104.84 per day (Depending on experience)
Start: After May 2025 Half Term
Contract: Full-time
Are you a Psychology Graduate ready to make a difference in young lives? GSL Education seeks a motivated and dedicated Psychology Graduate to join a supportive school in Scunthorpe.
This position is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs (SEND), social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties, or behavioural challenges. You will work closely with experienced educators and specialists, helping students overcome barriers to learning while gaining invaluable experience for future careers in psychology, education, or therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support for pupils with emotional, social, or behavioural needs.
- Assist with implementing individualised learning and behaviour plans.
- Support classroom activities under the guidance of the teacher.
- Help pupils develop emotional regulation, communication, and social interaction skills.
- Build trusting relationships with students to encourage participation and progress.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
Ideal Candidate:
- A degree in Psychology (or a related field).
- Strong interest in child development, mental health, or educational psychology.
- Excellent communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
- Resilience, adaptability, and a proactive attitude.
- Previous experience working with children or young people is an advantage.
- Have an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
