Maths Teacher – GCSE
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Salary: £140 – £190 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Easter Term 2025
Contract: Day-to-day / Long-term, Part-time / Full-time

Are you a passionate Maths Teacher ready to challenge and engage GCSE students? GSL Education is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join a secondary school in Doncaster from Easter 2025.

This is a brilliant opportunity for both experienced educators and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are dedicated to helping students develop confidence and achieve success in Mathematics.

About the Role:
As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that support students across a range of abilities. You will plan and teach the GCSE Maths curriculum, monitor progress, and work closely with staff and parents to ensure each student reaches their full potential.

Key Responsibilities of a Maths Teacher:

  • Deliver well-structured and engaging Maths lessons to GCSE students.

  • Use differentiated teaching strategies to support students with varying abilities.

  • Prepare pupils for examinations and track their progress regularly.

  • Implement practical and digital resources to enhance understanding.

  • Maintain strong behaviour management and create a positive classroom environment.

  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to raise student achievement.

Requirements of a Maths Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Specialism or strong experience in teaching Maths at secondary level.

  • Experience teaching GCSE Maths (ECTs are welcome to apply).

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching.

  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

  • A ten-year career history with references covering the last two years, including your most recent role.
