Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Chandler’s Ford
Salary: £13.68 to £14.88 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
GSL Education are seeking an engaged and responsible SEN (Special Educational Needs) Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Chandler’s Ford.
Help shape a brighter future for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) by providing the support they need to thrive. You’ll work closely with teaching staff to adapt lessons, offer personalised support, and ensure that every child feels valued and included. Your role will involve encouraging independence, building confidence, and supporting both academic and social development. By creating a positive and supportive environment, you’ll make a real difference in the lives of students every day.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Team up with teachers to create a friendly and supportive classroom where students can feel safe and learn.
- Give individual support to students with SEN, helping them understand lessons and develop skills.
- Provide one-on-one or small group help for students who need extra support in their learning.
- Support students with their feelings and social skills, helping them become more confident and independent.
- Help organise the classroom and get lessons ready so everything runs smoothly.
- Adjust teaching materials to make sure all students can understand and enjoy the lessons.
Who we are looking for:
- Classroom Experience: You’ve worked as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, helping students in a school setting.
- Passion for Learning: You truly care about helping students succeed and grow.
- Team-Oriented: You’re great at working with teachers and students to create a positive learning environment.
- Flexible & Adaptable: You can adjust your support to meet the different needs and learning styles of students.
- Ready to Start: You have an up-to-date CV (covering the last 10 years, with no unexplained gaps) and either an enhanced DBS check registered with the update service or are willing to apply for one.
