Salary: £120 – £250 per day (Depending on Experience)

The role:

As a Supply Primary Teacher, you will play a key role in maintaining educational continuity across year groups. Whether covering pre-set lessons or contributing your own creative teaching strategies, you will be a valued part of the teaching team. This is a great opportunity for experienced teachers or newly qualified teachers who seek flexibility while making a real difference in children’s lives.

Key Responsibilities of Primary Teacher - Supply:

  • Deliver pre-planned and engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 in the absence of class teachers
  • Adapt teaching to accommodate the needs of all pupils, including those with SEN or EAL
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and positive behaviour
  • Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment
  • Mark and assess pupils' work in line with school policy where required
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff to support pupil progress
  • Uphold school policies on safeguarding, behaviour, and equality
  • Communicate effectively with parents and staff when necessary
  • Participate in school meetings or briefings as needed during placements

Supply Primary Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent degree in the UK is essential
  • Proven classroom teaching experience in Primary settings (EYFS, KS1 or KS2)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A flexible, enthusiastic, and positive attitude
  • Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or willingness to apply for a new one)
  • Knowledge of current curriculum standards and safeguarding practices
