GSL Education are currently seeking enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teachers to work in our fantastic local schools in Havant. This role is offered on a zero-hour contract, giving you the freedom to manage your own schedule while gaining valuable experience across a range of specialist educational settings.
As a SEN Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils with a range of special educational needs.
- Work closely with support staff and specialists to ensure all students receive the guidance they need to thrive.
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment that supports both academic and emotional development.
To be successful in this SEN Teacherrole, it is desirable that you:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Have previous experience teaching children or young people with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or MLD.
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and effective teaching strategies for diverse learning needs.
- Possess strong behaviour management skills and a calm, adaptable approach to teaching.
- Are confident in working 1:1 and with small groups.
The successful candidate will be:
- Patient, creative, and compassionate
- Confident managing challenging behaviour
- Skilled in building meaningful relationships with pupils and staff
To work with GSL Education as a SEN Teacher, you should:
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
