GSL Education are currently seeking enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teachers to work in our fantastic local schools in Havant. This role is offered on a zero-hour contract, giving you the freedom to manage your own schedule while gaining valuable experience across a range of specialist educational settings.

As a SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils with a range of special educational needs.
  • Work closely with support staff and specialists to ensure all students receive the guidance they need to thrive.
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment that supports both academic and emotional development.

To be successful in this SEN Teacherrole, it is desirable that you:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Have previous experience teaching children or young people with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or MLD.
  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and effective teaching strategies for diverse learning needs.
  • Possess strong behaviour management skills and a calm, adaptable approach to teaching.
  • Are confident in working 1:1 and with small groups.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Patient, creative, and compassionate
  • Confident managing challenging behaviour
  • Skilled in building meaningful relationships with pupils and staff

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
