Location: Southampton, Hampshire
Salary: £30,000 - £46,535 per annum (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent (Part-time can also be arranged for the right candidate)

Your Mission
As an MFL Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality language education to secondary school students, helping them develop critical communication and cultural understanding skills. You will work closely with the Head of Department, teachers, and parents to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a supportive and inclusive academic setting.
What You'll Be Doing
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective language lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to students and parents.
- Develop and implement individualised learning plans for students, tailoring strategies and resources to meet their specific needs.
- Participate in departmental meetings and discussions to share insights and strategies for improving teaching and learning.
- Foster a welcoming and supportive atmosphere where students feel valued and included.
- Employ different instructional techniques and materials to cater to the diverse learning styles and needs of students.
- Keep detailed records of students’ progress and communicate this information to parents and other relevant parties.
What You Bring to the Table
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Early Career Teacher (ECT), or overseas qualifications.
- Experience working in a secondary school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues, building positive and supportive relationships.
- Demonstrate the ability to establish trust and rapport with all members of the school community.
- Show a deep commitment to helping students by exhibiting patience and empathy in your interactions.
- Additional qualifications or training in language education are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Experienced Teaching Assistants (TAs) and Cover Supervisors (CSs) are also encouraged to apply.
