Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Rotherham
Salary: £86 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

The position will involve working with whole-class groups, small intervention sets and on a one-to-one basis with children who require additional support.
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting class teachers in delivering high-quality education across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. You will help promote a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere while addressing pupils’ academic and emotional needs.
Your Responsibilities will be to:
- Support classroom teachers in preparing and delivering engaging lessons.
- Work one-to-one or in small groups with pupils who may require extra support.
- Assist in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Support pupils with reading, writing, phonics and numeracy activities.
- Help monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Encourage pupil independence, confidence, and positive social interaction.
What You’ll Bring:
- Previous experience working in a school or educational setting is desirable.
- An understanding of the Primary National Curriculum.
- A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic personality with strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptability, patience, and a proactive approach to challenges.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- A relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning is desirable but not essential.
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
