Job Title: Flexible Supply Teacher
Location: Boscombe, Dorset
Salary: £94 - £140 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate / September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time (Part-Time can be arranged for the right candidate)

GSL Education are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Flexible Supply Teacher to support a welcoming primary school in Boscombe. This role is ideal for someone who can adapt quickly, build strong relationships with students and staff, and bring energy and confidence into every lesson.

Whether you're looking for full-time or part-time work, this position offers the chance to work in a supportive school with a strong sense of community. Experienced teachers seeking flexible hours are highly encouraged to apply, and any background in working with SEN pupils would be a welcome bonus.

Key Functions of the Role:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and guidelines.
  • Create an engaging and supportive classroom environment that motivates students to participate and progress.
  • Manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a safe and respectful atmosphere at all times.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the varying needs of primary school students, including those with additional needs.
  • Follow lesson plans provided or create impromptu lessons when required.
  • Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents during short- and medium-term assignments.

Criteria for the Position:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with the UK education system and curriculum.
  • Strong classroom management skills, excellent communication, and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Willingness to work on a casual basis with availability to cover at short notice.
  • Experience working in mainstream primary settings is desirable; prior experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is a valued bonus.

  • An updated CV covering last 10 years with every gap explained and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one with GSL Education.
