Job Title: Cover Teacher
Location: Bournemouth, Dorset
Salary: £94 - £140 per day (Depending on experience)
Start: Immediate / September 2025
Contract: Full-Time (Part-Time can be arranged for the right candidate)

GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic Cover Teacher to work in a vibrant primary school in Bournemouth. This is a great opportunity to make a difference in pupils’ lives while enjoying a flexible and rewarding teaching career.
About the Role:
As a Cover Teacher, you’ll step into primary classrooms and deliver engaging lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher. You’ll support a smooth continuation of learning while building strong relationships with students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons to primary-aged pupils.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively.
- Encourage and support all learners.
- Mark work and provide constructive feedback.
- Communicate clearly with school staff regarding student progress and any concerns.
Ideal Candidate:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experienced teachers who are looking for flexible work are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Strong behaviour management and classroom presence.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Adaptable and confident teaching across different age groups and subjects.
- SEN experience is a bonus.
- Holds an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willing to apply for one.
- Provides a full CV covering the last 10 years with explanations for any gaps.
