SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £83 - £100 per day
GSL Education is looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join an Alternative Provision located in York, North Yorkshire, starting as soon as possible.

SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with special educational needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents/carers, and external agencies to ensure holistic support.
- Work alongside teaching staff to assist in lesson delivery.
- Implement strategies to support the student's emotional, social, and academic development.
- Assist with emotional regulation strategies and de-escalate challenging behaviour.
SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Right to work in the UK.
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEN.
- Previous experience in an SEN support role, preferably within a school setting.
- Hold an enhanced Child Workforce DBS, registered on the update service, or be willing to obtain one through GSL Education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
