Behaviour Mentor
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £83 – £100 per day

GSL Education are seeking dedicated Behaviour Mentor to work at an Alternative Provision supporting students with additional needs in York, starting as soon as possible.

Behaviour Mentor Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted support to students exhibiting challenging behaviour.
- Build trusting, respectful relationships with students.
- Support students in and out of the classroom.
- De-escalate incidents using de-escalation techniques.
- Contribute to individual behaviour support plans.
Behaviour Mentor Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, ASC, ADHD, or behavioural needs (school, youth work, or care background welcomed).
- Strong behaviour management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Have a clear understanding of child protection and safeguarding.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for a new one through GSL Education.
