Location: Halstead
Salary: £130-£230 per day
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: September
Are you passionate about understanding and teaching the complexities of society, behaviour, and the world around us? A school in Halstead is seeking an inspiring and knowledgeable Social Science Teacher to join their dedicated Humanities or Social Sciences Department.
About the Role:
You will teach a range of Social Science subjects, such as Sociology, Psychology, and Health & Social Care, across Key Stages 3 and 4. We are looking for someone who can bring these subjects to life, challenge students to think critically, and prepare them for further study and life beyond the classroom.
What We’re Looking For:
- A qualified teacher with QTS and a background in Social Sciences (e.g. Sociology, Psychology, Health & Social Care)
- A passion for your subject and the ability to engage and inspire students
- Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 (preferred but not essential for the right candidate)
- Strong classroom management and a commitment to inclusive teaching
- A team player who contributes positively to the wider school community
